Meet the Team
Adrienne Dooley, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner
My name is Adrienne Dooley and I have been working with the pediatric community of St. Thomas since early 2020. When I first moved to the island I could not have predicted how deeply I would come to appreciate the unique culture and community of St. Thomas. What was supposed to be a brief professional experience has turned into an impassioned project to serve the Virgin Islands community through my love for speech-language therapy. After studying for seven years at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, I have spent my career practicing pediatric speech-language pathology in multiple settings, including both private practices and school-based settings. I am most fulfilled when I have successfully engaged a child in the learning process and feel I have supported them in their developmental journey. Opening this practice has been a life-long dream of mine and I am sincerely dedicated to making Play OnWords a place of community support, positivity, and progress.
When I’m not at Play OnWords, I enjoy meeting with my book club, snorkeling at the beach, fostering kittens from the Humane Society, and volunteering at the Golden Age Ranch. If you see me out in the community, please say hello!
