Adrienne Dooley, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist, Founder
Clinical Director

I have been working with the pediatric community of St. Thomas since early 2020. When I first moved to the island I could not have predicted how deeply I would come to appreciate the unique culture and community of St. Thomas. What was supposed to be a brief professional experience has turned into an impassioned project to serve the Virgin Islands community through my love for speech-language therapy.  After studying for seven years at Northeastern University in Boston, MA, I have spent my career practicing pediatric speech-language pathology in multiple settings, including both private practices and school-based settings. I am most fulfilled when I have successfully engaged a child in the learning process and feel I have supported them in their developmental journey. Opening this practice has been a life-long dream of mine and I am sincerely dedicated to making Play OnWords a place of community support, positivity, and progress.

When I’m not at Play OnWords, I enjoy meeting with my book club, scuba diving, and fostering kittens from the Humane Society. If you see me out in the community, please say hello!
