Adrienne Dooley, M.S., CCC-SLP
Founder
Speech-Language Pathologist
Adrienne founded Play OnWords Therapeutic Services in 2020 after relocating from Boston, where she earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern University. With experience in both private practice and schools, she saw the need for greater access to pediatric therapy services in the Virgin Islands and has since dedicated herself to serving the local community.

As an expat, Adrienne is mindful of her role as a guest in the Virgin Islands and works to ensure her practice reflects cultural sensitivity and respect. She collaborates closely with families, schools, and community partners to provide high-quality, personalized therapy while supporting children’s development in ways that honor local culture and values.
Her passion project is promoting neurodiversity awareness through the practice’s annual Rock the Spectrum community event, which celebrates and educates around Autism Acceptance Month. Adrienne’s passion is helping children find their voices and giving caregivers the tools to feel empowered in the process. When she isn’t in the clinic, Adrienne enjoys connecting with the island through community events, fostering partnerships with schools, and taking in the natural beauty of St. Thomas. She can be contacted directly at adrienne@playonwordsvi.com.
